Scholarship Details
The Qatar Airways University Scholarship Programme is designed to empower recent high school graduates by enabling them to pursue undergraduate studies at top universities globally or within Qatar. The program is open exclusively to Qatari nationals and students whose mothers are Qatari nationals. Upon successful completion of their degree programs, scholars will join Qatar Airways through its Graduate Development Programme, gaining valuable career opportunities within the organization.
This initiative not only covers financial expenses but also invests in long-term professional growth by offering access to various development programs and internships with Qatar Airways Group.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Qatar Airways University Scholarship 2026, applicants must:
- Be a Qatari national or a child of a Qatari mother
- Demonstrate good conduct and moral character
- Be medically fit and pass all required health examinations
- Be between the ages of 17 and 24 at the time of application
- Have completed high school within the past 3 years
- For Qatari-mother applicants, all stages of education must have been completed within Qatar
The minimum academic performance required is:
- Qatari-National Students: Minimum overall high school score of 85%
- Qatari-Mother Students: Minimum overall high school score of 90%
Additional requirements include:
- High school certificates not issued by the Qatar Ministry of Education must be accompanied by an equivalency statement
- A valid IELTS score (issued within the past 24 months):
- Qatari-National Students: Minimum band score of 5.5 (with no component below 5.0)
- Qatari-Mother Students: Minimum band score of 6.0 (with no component below 5.0)
- The proposed field of study must align with Qatar Airways’ approved list of majors
- The university of choice must be accredited by the Qatar Ministry of Education and located in a country accepted by Qatar Airways
- For international institutions, a pre-approval letter from the Qatar Ministry of Education is required
- A final unconditional admission letter from an accredited university must be submitted

Academic and Other Documents:
- High School Certificate or equivalency certificate from the Qatar Ministry of Education (not older than 3 years)
- Recent IELTS certificate (within the past 24 months)
- Final unconditional offer letter from an accredited university in an approved study field
- For students studying abroad: copy of the pre-approval letter from the Qatar Ministry of Education
- For male Qatari applicants: evidence of national service completion, exemption, or deferral
- “To Whom It May Concern” letter from the Qatar Ministry of Education confirming the applicant is not under another scholarship
- “To Whom It May Concern” letter from the Qatar Ministry of Labour verifying non-employment status

- Copy of mother’s valid ID (both sides)
- Copy of student’s birth certificate issued by the Qatar Ministry of Health
- Certificate from the Qatar Ministry of Education confirming all education stages were completed in Qatar
