The NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship Program, now in its 25th edition, continues to support top PhD students who demonstrate exceptional potential in areas that align with NVIDIA’s strategic vision.
The program provides a platform for selected candidates to collaborate closely with NVIDIA experts and access cutting-edge resources to further their research. The Fellowship also includes a mandatory in-person summer internship at one of NVIDIA’s international research locations prior to the fellowship year. Through this initiative, NVIDIA aims to nurture innovation and support the next generation of leaders in accelerated computing and related fields.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship Program, applicants must:
- Be enrolled in a PhD program and must have completed at least one year of PhD-level studies by the time of application.
- Be pursuing majors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, System Architecture, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Be actively involved in research directly connected to their PhD thesis.
- Be enrolled as a full-time active PhD student during the entire 2026–2027 academic year (minimum of 9 months) and not be expecting to graduate before May/June 2027.
- Be available to participate in a mandatory in-person summer internship at one of NVIDIA’s offices located in the USA, Canada, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Israel, or Taiwan.
- Not be an immediate family member of a current NVIDIA employee.
- Ensure the award is administered through their university, as the funding will be paid directly to the institution, not the individual.

- Two to three letters of recommendation, including at least one from the applicant’s thesis advisor (letters from non-professors are accepted if one is from the advisor).
- Confirmation of availability for the summer internship placement.

- Complete all required fields, including your research proposal and resume (CV).
- Add recommendation letter contacts early in the process. The system will automatically send requests to them via email.

- Do not submit your application until all recommendation letters are marked “completed.”
- Submit the final application before the deadline: 3:00 PM Pacific Time, September 15, 2025.
- Applicants will be notified of final decisions by the end of November 2025.
