Program Details
The African Leadership Academy (ALA) is committed to identifying, developing, and connecting the next generation of African leaders who will drive the future of the continent.
The admissions process is designed to assess each candidate’s potential through a holistic review that evaluates intellectual capability, leadership qualities, personal character, and cultural fit for ALA’s unique pre-university diploma program.
ALA fosters a diverse community of students representing a variety of backgrounds and perspectives, all united by a shared vision of creating a lasting impact in Africa and beyond.
Eligibility Criteria
Every year, over 2,000 young leaders from across Africa apply to ALA. After a competitive selection process, up to 130 students are admitted into each class. To be considered, applicants should demonstrate:

ALA seeks students who are not only academically capable but also motivated to lead, willing to take initiative, and eager to collaborate for change.
