The Rhodes Scholarship 2026 presents a fully funded opportunity with a stipend of £19,800 per year to pursue Master’s, MPhil, and PhD degrees in any course at Oxford University.

Scholarship Details
The Rhodes Global Scholarships allow eligible candidates from the rest of the world (i.e. not strongly connected to any other Rhodes Scholarships constituency) to apply for the Scholarship, subject to nomination.
The Rhodes Scholarships bring together and develop exceptional young people from all over the world, across all fields of study, who are committed to service, impatient with the status quo, and courageous enough to act.
The Rhodes Global Scholarship Program is for citizens of all other countries to pursue postgraduate programs at Oxford University, including Master’s, MPhil, and PhD degrees in any course of their choice.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Rhodes Global Scholarship UK 2026, you must:
- Be eligible only if you are not qualified to apply via an existing Rhodes constituency
- If you have a strong connection to a Rhodes constituency but do not meet its eligibility, you may consider inter-jurisdictional application rather than the Global Scholarship
- Fulfill one of the following age criteria:
- Be aged 18–24 on 1st October 2025 (born after 1 October 2000 and before 2 October 2007), OR
- For medical students with compulsory internships: aged 18–25 on 1st October 2025 (born after 1 October 1999), OR
- For older applicants who completed their first degree later: under 27 on 1st October 2025 (born after 1 October 1998), and have completed your first degree on or after 1 October 2024
- Have completed or be expecting to complete an undergraduate degree by July 2026
- Meet or exceed Oxford’s academic entry requirements for your chosen course
- Possess a strong academic record, preferably a First Class Honours or GPA of 3.70/4.0 or above
Scholarship Benefits
The Rhodes Global Scholarship covers:
- Oxford University course fees
- Annual stipend of £19,800 (£1,650 per month) for living expenses, including accommodation
- Application fee for University of Oxford
- Student visa fees and International Health Surcharge (IHS) for UK NHS access
- Two economy class flights to and from the UK at the beginning and end of studies
