Scholarship Details
The Women in Finance Scholarship is designed to support exceptional women building careers in financial asset management, market risk management, and derivatives finance within the capital markets.
Originally launched in 2014 as the FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship, the program has continued following the 2023 acquisition of FINCAD by Numerix.
Based in Vancouver, Canada, FINCAD aims to simplify derivatives finance by providing essential analytics that support clients in managing exposures, calculating fair values, and executing well-sized trades.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be enrolled and attending a Master’s or PhD program in Finance on a full-time basis
- Have commenced studies no earlier than January 1, 2025, and no later than February 1, 2026
- Have less than 10 years of total work experience and less than 5 years of professional experience in the financial field
- Be a female citizen of any country enrolled in a postgraduate Finance program at an accredited university
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of the FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship will receive:
- A total award of $20,000 to support graduate-level studies
- 50% of the award will be paid directly to the recipient
- 50% of the award will be paid to the academic institution toward tuition
- Access to two paid days off annually for volunteer work (available to FINCADians)
- Volunteer project matching through the FINCAD HOPE initiative
