The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has begun disbursing upkeep payments for April 2025 to eligible students across the country.
This was announced on Monday in Abuja by Mrs. Oseyemi Oluwatuyi, NELFUND’s Director of Strategic Communications. She noted that while the majority of payments have been successfully processed, some beneficiaries may experience delays due to a recent upgrade to the Fund’s payment and application processing system.
“The system upgrade is designed to enhance security and improve the speed and efficiency of future disbursements,” Oluwatuyi explained.
She assured students that NELFUND is working closely with relevant stakeholders to address the delays and ensure all qualified recipients receive their payments as soon as possible. She also reaffirmed the Fund’s commitment to transparency, efficient service delivery, and supporting students in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda.
“We appreciate the patience and cooperation of all stakeholders as we continue working to improve service delivery for the benefit of Nigerian students,” the statement concluded.
