As part of its commitment to strengthening the cultural and creative industries in developing countries, UNESCO is launching the fifteenth call for applications to the International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD).
The IFCD supports projects through an open and competitive process. Selected proposals must demonstrate the potential to create tangible and sustainable outcomes in the creative sector.
Since 2010, the IFCD has invested over US$11.5 million in 152 projects across 71 developing countries, contributing significantly to cultural development and diversity.
Public institutions and NGOs from eligible countries, as well as international NGOs registered in countries that are Parties to the 2005 Convention, are encouraged to apply.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for the UNESCO International Fund, applicants must:

- Implement or elaborate policies that directly and structurally impact the creation, production, distribution, and access to diverse cultural goods and services
- Strengthen the capacities of public institutions and civil society organizations to support sustainable local and regional cultural industries and markets

- Public authorities and institutions from eligible developing countries that are Parties to the 2005 Convention
- Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) from eligible developing countries that are Parties to the 2005 Convention
- International non-governmental organizations (INGOs) registered in countries that are Parties to the 2005 Convention
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of the UNESCO International Fund will receive:
- Up to $100,000 in funding for selected projects
- Support over a 12–24-month implementation period
